Heaters, generators, school supplies, text books and hygiene kits - just some of the items we have given to schools, community centres and clinics across northern Iraq. At a time when people have nothing, a little can go a very long way. Several parts of the country are still surviving on just 2-3 hours of power a day making generators a necessity amid the stifling summer months.
The cost of a 60KVA generator is around $10,000 and will transform the life of an entire community. We are purchasing one for a village in the north which will provide power for the school and surrounding houses. We also hope to be in a position to supply many more in neighbouring communities.
